Design decisions

Immersive dark hero

A full-width hero over a rich travel photograph, with a serif display headline and an integrated search-and-plan widget, sets the tone before any scrolling.

A full product map in one navigation

The navigation exposes the whole product surface, Discover, My Trips, Plan Trip, Bookings, Map, Budget, Journal, so the scope of the concept reads immediately.

Warm earth palette

Deep browns and terracotta accents pair with travel photography and serif display type, keeping the interface warm rather than clinical.

Key learnings

  • Structuring a multi-section marketing site with Bootstrap 5 and a custom CSS design system
  • Designing around photography so imagery, palette, and typography reinforce each other
  • Building a complete, self-contained front end with relative assets that runs anywhere
